  • A very powerful auroa over the fjord Ersfjordbotn, close to Tromsø, on sept.5th,2012. This special aurora has a shape which reminds of a dragon.   • "Inverted"<br /> <br /> An giant humpback whale breaching and shooting inverted into air.<br /> <br /> This I shot today nov.27th just outside of Tromsø, northern Norway, where currently large amounts of humpback whales, and orchas are present. There are very high amounts of herring in the arctic sea at the moment which the whales are feasting upon.

  • Another shot from the night of sept.19th. On my way home at 2am, on a night with fantastic auroras, I was forced to make a short stop by a river called Signalelva at Oteren, northern-Norway. Here you can see why, a magnificent display with strong red auroras clearly visible at the top. Facing south-east here, so this one was probably visible way down over Finland and Sweden as well..

  • September 19th, 2012 I managed to capture the most magnificent fireball I have ever seen. Among beautiful purple auroas and the magnificent mountain Otertinden, all reflected in the river Signalelva. <br /> <br /> This shot was featured on NASA's Astronomy Picture of The Day on October 5th 2012 (APOD).<br /> <br /> http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap121005.html
